Louis is involved in crafting and executing Wexford’s strategic direction. His duties include evaluation of new investment opportunities and the overall marketing of the Company.
Louis contributes extensive experience in development and marketing, acquisitions, transaction structure, financial analysis/modeling and disposition.
Prior to joining Wexford, Louis was a vice president at Townsend Capital, LLC. While at Townsend, he was instrumental in the development and growth of the science and technology business line. He led the teams that competed for and won major projects with the University City Science Center, Philadelphia and the University of Hawaii, among others.
He was also heavily involved in Townsend Capital’s purchase of the International Flavors & Fragrances building in midtown Manhattan — a transaction that received national attention for its innovative transaction structure.
Louis brings 17 years of commercial banking experience, including loan workouts and loan origination to Wexford. As a Senior Vice President in the Real Estate Banking Group at Bank of America, N.A., Louis originated over $350 Million in commercial real estate loans. He also oversaw the foreclosure, management and disposition of foreclosed real estate with a market value in excess of $150 Million during his tenure at Bank of America. His experience included resolution of complex bankruptcies, litigation, foreclosures and subsequent management of the foreclosed assets, which may have involved repositioning of properties, leasing, development of land, and loan restructuring.
Louis is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing and a Master of Business Administration in finance. He was an adjunct professor at Johns Hopkins University’s Allen L. Berman Real Estate Institute Real Estate Graduate School.
